Argentina ENACOM is a mandatory certification for wireless and telecommunications products. All equipment connected to public telecommunications networks and using radio frequency bands need to apply for ENACOM certification. ENACOM certification is a compulsory certification, which requires sample testing and local agents, does not require factory inspection, and the certificate is valid for 3 years. After obtaining ENACOM certification, the manufacturer is obliged to clearly display the certification label and the certification number (CNC) on the device. The minimum width of the label is 5mm as stipulated by the authorities. If the label cannot be placed directly on the product (e.g. for design or constructive reasons), the label must be printed on the user manual and packaging. This exception must be approved by the National Economic Council in a written statement.
Argentina can accept reports from ENACOM-accredited regulators such as ANATEL, IFETEL, FCC or similar, as long as they comply with the limits for exposure to electromagnetic fields as defined by current Argentine regulations.
