CE, which is abbreviated from the French "Communate Europpene", means the European Community, referred to as the European Union. The CE mark is a legally mandatory mark in the EU market. Whether it is a product produced by an enterprise within the EU or a product produced in another country, if it wants to circulate freely in the EU market, the CE mark must be affixed to show that the product complies with the EU's "New Approach to Technical Coordination and Standardization" (The New Approach to The basic requirements of the technical harmonization and standardization) directive.
The CE certification method is divided into CE compulsory certification and CE self-declaration. Most of the products can be affixed with the CE mark if the manufacturer adopts a self-declaration of conformity; some products with relatively higher risks need a third party authorized by the European Union. The CE mark can only be affixed after the institution, namely the Notified Body, conducts a conformity assessment.
CE certification is available in 33 special economic zones in Europe, including: 27 in the EU, 4 countries in the European Free Trade Zone, as well as the United Kingdom and Turkey. Products with the CE mark can circulate freely in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Machinery Directive: All relevant products
Radio Frequency and Communication Terminal Equipment Directive: Wireless or Communication Terminal Products
